Wow, this is amazing. I have to say though, your art is making me homesick. I hail from the other side of the river.

Kittery is a great little town. We actually live in South Berwick. I am glad you like my stuff.

Your technique is impeccable. I love that your colors are so interesting and never get muddy in the process.

Thank you, it takes some time inbetween colors to let them dry to avoid getting muddy.

I was talking about your work to a publisher yesterday who had never really seen reduction wood cuts. Do you have a website that I could send to her?

I am only using deviant art and Etsy. Someday I will make a site of my own, it just hasn't been a real high priority as of yet. Do tell, what was the opinion of the publisher? This sounds intriguing.

I was talking to one of the art directors at Hachette Book Group - she was telling me that my own work reminded her of block printing and asked if I had done any. I have done it, once, but I told her how jealous I am of reduction woodblock printing. She didn't know what it was so I told her about your work and said I'd email it to her, which I did (using your Etsy which I found through an online search).

So I don't know what she thought of it, but after I finish a job with her I can ask her if you like. I'm sure she'll really like it.

Very cool, I tried my hand at block printing this past spring and it's a process! Lovely print you've got here

I wasn't familiar w/this reductive woodblock technique so I had to google it and now, after having read up on it, I have to give you some serious props for having the patience to work such an intricate design

I love this print and the colors! But I feel like there is something wrong with your image that you uploaded. It is way too big for its resolution and the DA watermark is really distracting. I would try and upload a different photo of this print if possible.

yes i do like it aswell. the setting might not be as exciting, but it is always good to see someone using such traditional methods to make art and also it has been done so very excellent that i have nothing negative to say about it.
a big thumbs up from me. keep up the good traditional work!
